The Most Important Post You Are Not Writing

The most important post you are not writing is the one that asks for the sale.

Your how-to posts build trust. Your stories build connection. Your client wins build credibility. None of them convert, because none of them tell the reader what to do next.

Offer posts will not go viral. That is not their job. Their job is to convert the people your other posts already warmed up, and their conversion rate is higher than anything else you publish.

Here is what a good one looks like.

Lead with the result, not the service.

Nobody wants a ghostwriter. They want to stop staring at a blank page on Sunday night. Nobody wants a fractional CFO. They want to know whether they can make payroll in March. Name the problem your buyer would name, in the words your buyer would use, then say you fix it.

Show proof before you ask.

Share a client win, a specific number, or a before and after. Then say the words: "Want the same result? DM me." Or tease your framework and point them to your call link. The ask should be 1 sentence, and it belongs at the end, not buried in the middle where it reads like an accident.

Say who it is not for.

Most people skip this part, and it is the part that makes the whole post believable. "This is for owners doing 2 million and up. If you are pre-revenue, save your money." Turning the wrong people away is the fastest way to convince the right person you are not desperate.

I am not naturally good at sales. I reframe it every single time I post an offer:

I have a real solution to an actual problem.

When I think about it that way, I do not feel skeezy, and I do not come across that way either. Skeezy is pretending you are not selling. Everyone can tell.

Work an offer post in every 5 posts or so. If you have never posted one, you are not being humble. You are being invisible.

I don't want to be another newsletter in your inbox. I want to be an actionletter. In every edition, I'll include a "Go-and-Do" below to help you take an action step TODAY that improves your LinkedIn™ performance, your business, or even your life.

THE GO-AND-DO

Write your offer post today. 3 parts: the problem in your buyer's words, 1 piece of proof, 1 sentence asking them to DM you. Post it this week, not "when the timing is better."

One More Thing - The LinkedIn™ Spark Community

If today's edition resonated, you'd love the room I built for people who want to take this seriously.

The LinkedIn™ Spark Community is for people who want three things most LinkedIn advice doesn't deliver together: education, accountability, and real networking.

Inside, we focus on:

· LinkedIn strategy that actually moves the needle

· How to become a sharper writer (because writing is the work)

· Content systems, not content luck

· Guest speakers, "hot seat" sessions, and presentations from members themselves

You also get one 1:1 call with me per quarter. This is not a group where you post once and disappear. It's a community where people show up, sharpen each other, and build the kind of presence that compounds.

The 4 Post Types to Cycle Through on LinkedIn
If you never know what to post, stop guessing and start cycling. There are 4 types of posts. Hit all 4 in a week and you have a content strategy. That is the whole thing. 1. Educational. How you did something. How to do something. A strong opinion about the way your industry gets something wrong. This is the post that proves you know your work, and it is the post most people are best at. It is ...
What to Post on LinkedIn When You Have No Ideas
You do not have an ideas problem. You have a capture problem. Ideas come to you in the shower. In the pickup line. At 11pm when you are half asleep. Then you sit down Tuesday morning with a blank screen and nothing. The idea was never the issue. You just had nowhere to put it. Here are the 3 systems I use. None cost money. None require you to add anything to your tech stack. 1. One note in your...
How to Find the Stories That Should Anchor Your Brand
My best posts are almost always stories. That does not mean every post should be a story. It means you should know your stories cold, because the stories you repeat become your brand. I call mine cornerstone stories. Here are my 3: 1. I was a broke single mom when I came to LinkedIn. 2. I watched my dad go from poverty to millionaire. 3. I was the last person to find out about my 2018 divorce. ...
