How I Started a LinkedIn™ Masterclass From Scratch

Connect

I didn’t launch my LinkedIn masterclass with a funnel.
I didn’t have a big ad budget.
I didn’t even know what “conversion optimization” meant back then.

I just showed up — consistently.
And I built something real over time.

Here’s exactly how it happened

1. Posted Regularly for 2 Years

I treated content like my storefront.

  • Built trust

  • Learned my audience inside and out

  • Developed a unique solution to a real problem

This was the foundation. Not a landing page. Not a launch.

2. Announced My Masterclass

When it came time to launch, the offer didn’t feel random to my audience.

  • I put it in my CTA for 4 weeks

  • Made it ridiculously easy to take the next step
(“DM me ‘I’m in’ for info”)

Simple. No complicated funnel. Just a clear invitation.

3. Built a Legitimate Course Outline

I didn’t want fluff.

  • Crafted keynotes for every week

  • Built a real curriculum

  • Structured the experience for impact

People can tell the difference between something thrown together and something designed with intention.

 4. Over-Delivered Whenever Possible

This is where the magic happened.

  • Added 1:1 calls to the offer

  • Shared 110% of what I knew

  • Brought in experts for the rest

People don’t just remember what they learn — they remember how they feel in your container.

 5. Sold Out the Class 6/6 Times

I’ve now run this masterclass six times.
I’ve never changed the price.
I added payment plans.
I gifted seats to my ghostwriting clients.
And every class sells out.

 The Go and Do

I don't want to be another newsletter in your inbox. I want to be an actionletter. In every edition, I'll include a "Go-and-Do" [below] to help you take an action step TODAY that improves your LinkedIn™ performance, your business, or even your life.

  1. Imagine you’re going to teach your masterclass.

  2. Answer three questions:

    • Who would it be for?

    • What problem would you help solve?

    • What’s one way you could over-deliver?

  3. Write it down. That’s the seed of a pipeline.

No funnels. No fancy tricks.
Just trust built over time, a clear offer, and a promise kept.

📌 If you could run a masterclass helping anyone do anything, who would it be for and what would it teach?

You don't have a content problem. Sort of.
LinkedIn is a long game. But the algorithm isn’t. Most people understand the first part. Very few understand the second. LinkedIn feels like a compounding platform. You build an audience, you stay consistent, and over time your content starts to work for you. That part is true. But under the hood, the system operates very differently. LinkedIn’s feed only actively retrieves content from roughly...
Become a better writer in 3 simple steps.
3 ways to become a better writer [each one takes under 90 seconds to learn]. 1. Read your writing out loud. Your ear catches what your eye misses. Clunky sentences, repeated words, and awkward phrasing all reveal themselves the moment you hear them. If you stumble reading it, your reader will too. This one habit alone will do more for your writing than any course, any book, or any amount of sta...
LinkedIn™ is judging you. [Here's how to pass!]
For years, people thought they had LinkedIn figured out. More likes = more reach.More comments = better distribution.Post at the perfect time = algorithm boost. The whole strategy revolved around sending the right signals. If you could get enough engagement quickly, the algorithm would push your post further. And for a long time, that understanding wasn’t entirely wrong. But LinkedInchanged how...
