Hard Truths About LinkedIn Writing
Hey!
When I first started on LinkedIn™ in 2021, I didn’t have much of a plan—just a self-made banner and a “post when I feel like it” approach. I didn’t have a clear offer beyond, “Hey, I’m a ghostwriter!” But even that bare-bones presence landed me six ghostwriting clients and two book projects.
By 2022, I knew I had to level up. I started following big creators, watching how they posted, and slowly implementing their strategies. The results were impressive: I replaced half of my income through LinkedIn™ work alone. But I was exhausted—working nonstop and burning out fast.
Then 2023 happened—the year I went all in. I rebranded my profile, hired a designer for professional visuals, built a Featured section, and posted every day at 8 a.m. sharp. I also created a consistent strategy by writing and scheduling my posts on Sunday nights. The outcome? 100% inbound leads, a waitlist of clients, and the transition from a side hustle to a thriving full-time business.
Now it’s 2024, and things keep getting better. I’ve been named to Favikon’s Top 200 Creator List and hosted two sold-out LinkedIn™ masterclasses. But I’m still experimenting, iterating, and learning—and having fun doing it.
Key takeaway: LinkedIn™ isn’t about quick wins. It’s a long game that rewards consistency and commitment. Your progress may feel slow, but every post, comment, and connection builds momentum.
What’s the next step in your LinkedIn™ journey? Let’s grow together!
